About The Position

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Training Requirements Manager to lead the strategy, development, and scaling of its Mission Training portfolio for autonomous surface vessels. This role involves owning training requirements for curriculum, delivery models, simulation, and operator qualification pathways to ensure personnel can safely and effectively operate complex autonomous systems. The position requires working at the intersection of product, operations, and customer engagement to ensure training systems scale with platform capabilities and operational demand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, training systems, or operational program leadership
  • Strong product judgment and ability to prioritize in fast-paced, mission-driven environments
  • Experience translating complex technical systems into effective operator workflows or training solutions
  • Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success owning and evolving products or product portfolios in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Ability to translate ambiguous mission needs, customer feedback, and technical capabilities into clear product direction
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence engineering, operations, and leadership stakeholders
  • Proven ability to operate cross-functionally and drive alignment without direct authority
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to incorporate data, user feedback, and operational insights into product decisions
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality, with accountability for outcomes across the full product lifecycle
  • Ability to synthesize inputs from field operations, customers, and technical teams into cohesive product strategies
  • Comfort engaging directly with operators and training teams to understand real-world workflows and pain points
  • Ability to operate effectively in environments where product requirements and priorities evolve rapidly
  • Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by U.S. law (U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or certain protected classes of asylees and refugees).

  • Experience in defense, maritime, autonomy, or other high-consequence operational environments

Responsibilities

  • Own the Mission Training product portfolio across multiple vessel classes (small, medium, and large USVs) and emerging new capabilities.
  • Define and execute a training strategy aligned with Saronic’s product roadmap and DoD mission requirements.
  • Drive improvements in operator readiness, speed to qualification, and mission effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain the Mission Training roadmap, including curriculum evolution, simulation capabilities, and delivery models.
  • Define scalable training architectures that support progression across vessel classes and mission profiles.
  • Establish standardized approaches to operator qualification, certification, and currency.
  • Partner with engineering, instructional design, and training teams to build structured, performance-based training programs.
  • Ensure training reflects vessel systems, autonomy workflows, navigation, mission execution, and casualty response.
  • Incorporate simulation, distributed learning, and emerging technologies where operationally relevant.
  • Translate field feedback, mission outcomes, and system updates into continuous improvements in training products.
  • Ensure training remains aligned with evolving platform capabilities and real-world operational demands.
  • Partner with training teams to scale throughput in line with deployment and readiness requirements.
  • Define and track metrics for training effectiveness, operator proficiency, and mission readiness.
  • Use data to prioritize improvements and ensure training outputs meet operational standards.
  • Engage with DoD and commercial stakeholders to understand training requirements, certification expectations, and mission needs.
  • Support customer onboarding, training programs, and operational readiness engagements.
  • Coordinate across Engineering, Product, Programs, and Mission Training teams to align system development with training readiness.
  • Partner with Mission Training Managers and Program Managers to scale best practices across sites and platforms.
