About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Requirements Manager to serve as a liaison between users and developers, translating user needs into requirements for applications in various stages of the development lifecycle. The role requires experience in an Agile environment and involves managing complex systems requirements, analyzing and prioritizing project requests, and implementing Agile practices across project teams. The position supports a portfolio of applications, including custom production applications for data search and workflow, and a knowledge management tool. The Requirements Manager will guide application project teams through the requirements process, implement product development tools and frameworks, develop guidelines for Agile development, and act as a user advocate in designing software solutions. Responsibilities include managing project team requirements, ensuring Agile values are standardized, creating standardized processes for managing JIRA boards, creating and reviewing requirement specifications/user stories, gathering and analyzing customer requirements, and identifying process improvements.

Requirements

  • Must have a TS/SCI with Poly to be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of experience OR a Masters with at least 10 years of experience.
  • Experience working with requirements for building and integrating applications in the cloud.
  • Experience working with agile teams and agile development practices such as sprint planning, sprint grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and daily scrums.
  • Experience converting customer requirements into user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
  • Experience developing storyboards that are used as a deliverable.
  • Experience establishing and implementing effective requirement practices.
  • Experience in the prioritization of customer requirements.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, which includes wire framing, story mapping, and graphical mockups.
  • Experience running multiple-tenant JIRA boards.
  • Experience working with multi-discipline project teams through all phases of the product development to ensure successful execution.
  • Experience in requirements gathering and definitions for mission critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple application teams supporting a portfolio of customer-created applications.
  • Manage complex systems requirements, analyze, formulate, and prioritize project requests.
  • Implement Agile practices across project teams.
  • Shepherd application projects teams through the requirements process for existing systems and building the next generation of applications.
  • Implement tools, techniques, frameworks, and practices surrounding product development and delivery.
  • Develop guidelines for application developers required in support of Agile development methodologies.
  • Analyze the customer’s needs, environments, requirements, and operational objectives to design and develop software solutions as a user advocate.
  • Manage the project team’s requirements, researching, developing, and communicating requirements ensuring development meets the customer needs.
  • Ensure that Agile values and concepts are standardized across the project teams.
  • Create a standardized process for managing JIRA boards across the project teams.
  • Create and review requirement specifications or user stories.
  • Analyze existing systems and formulate requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and verify customer requirements, validating the need for the systems being developed.
  • Work with the Sponsor to develop a requirement review process.
  • Identify and document potential improvements to the existing software development processes.
  • Facilitate meetings across multiple components within a multi-tier organizational structure.
