About The Position

The Training Program Administrator will support the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Mercy Health Comprehensive Medical Readiness Skills and Trauma Training Program in St. Louis, Missouri. The position provides administrative, scheduling, logistical, stakeholder coordination, and program-management support necessary to facilitate didactic and hands-on clinical training for Air Force Reserve medical personnel. The Training Program Administrator will collaborate with military leadership, Mercy Health educators, civilian healthcare personnel, universities, military organizations, and other stakeholders to coordinate medical readiness training across contracted Mercy Health locations.

Requirements

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in Healthcare Administration; OR an undergraduate degree in a business-related field with five (5) years of proven experience as a healthcare administrator, certified project manager, or in a related area.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of applicable Air Force and professional standards.
  • Knowledge of military and civilian guidelines governing applicable policies and procedures.
  • Ability to execute a company Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) as required by the contract.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively among military leadership, healthcare personnel, universities, legal divisions, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • U.S. Citizen required for applicable USAF/AFRL facility and Government IT access unless an authorized exception applies.
  • Minimum Tier 1 Background Investigation (T1/SF85) for required system or controlled-area access.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment involving clinical trauma, Emergency Room (ER), and/or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) operations.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete Mercy Health's annual tour orientation program within the first 60 days.
  • Establish and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with military leadership, Mercy Health personnel, external partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide professional verbal and written communication, including reports, correspondence, technical documentation, meetings, presentations, and briefings.
  • Assist with Mercy Health Systems informational tours and coordinate site logistics, parking, meeting rooms, refreshments, itineraries, and departmental support.
  • Collect, review, file, and report After Action Reports (AARs) and surveys from units and personnel completing annual training.
  • Present AAR and survey results at quarterly staff meetings.
  • Coordinate use of the Mercy Health Simulation Laboratory for AFRC training.
  • Develop and maintain the Monthly Training Roster, including personnel trained, training dates, specific training tasks completed, required signatures, and other required information.
  • Provide administrative support to military staff assigned to the Mercy Health training platform.
  • Coordinate training schedules for required military personnel across contracted Mercy Health locations.
  • Coordinate updates and reviews of Training Affiliation Agreements (TAAs), Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs), and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with civilian universities, military organizations, legal divisions, and AFRC.
  • Perform administrative management tasks including phones, correspondence, typing, filing, basic databases, office supplies, room scheduling, and preparation of training and in-processing packets.
  • Assist with first-day registration and in-processing, including badge procurement, scrub and badge issuance, rosters, and required paperwork.
  • Assist in developing the annual fiscal-year training schedule and ensure publication no later than July 1.
  • Coordinate with Reserve units to ensure required scheduling information and pre-hospital orientation documentation are submitted within established timelines.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and security to support Operations Security (OPSEC) and badge-control requirements.
  • Update the Reserve medical training contacts and capabilities roster quarterly and as needed.
  • Maintain required healthcare-facility training, health requirements, qualifications, certifications, and applicable immunization documentation.
  • Protect sensitive and critical information and comply with applicable Air Force, DoD, OPSEC, Mercy Health, and facility requirements.
