About The Position

Navico Group, a division of Brunswick, is seeking a Training Manager for the Americas Region to oversee and establish training programs for external stakeholders, including Technical Support, Warranty and Field Service teams, as well as dealers, OEMs, and service center technicians. This role will maintain a strong partnership with EMEA and APAC regions, contributing to the vision and strategy for Navico Group's training initiatives. The position involves developing and modifying curriculum, leading a team of trainers, managing operations, and ensuring high-quality training delivery to enhance customer experience and service capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Development, Education, Instructional Design, Business Administration, Communication, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in service training, curriculum design, adult education, service operations, support or sales roles.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Familiarity with modern and traditional training methods.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Ability to translate technical product knowledge into learner-friendly curricula.
  • Ability to plan and manage time.
  • Advanced database and computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Good collaboration and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with video recording, multi-media training tools, and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Experience managing training budgets, resourcing plans, and vendor partnerships.
  • Familiarity with train-the-trainer models.
  • Experience working across global regions.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the vision and strategy for the Navico Group training strategy.
  • Identify customer training opportunities by partnering with sales and service teams.
  • Develop new curriculum or modify existing curriculum to meet identified needs.
  • Ensure curriculum meets industry best practices with clear learning objectives, facilitator guides, reference materials, and activities.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to a team of trainers.
  • Prioritize training opportunities, ensuring high quality of service and training quality assurance.
  • Embed skills and application knowledge in the networks.
  • Develop and administer annual business plans and operating budgets.
  • Partner with Business Unit Teams to ensure timely delivery of content for product launches.
  • Partner with Navico Group product experts to ensure resources are in place for professional quality delivery.
  • Partner with Service team leaders to create impactful KPIs, measure, and adjust strategy to improve customer experience and service ability.
  • Review work of direct reports, develop and mentor talent, and manage performance evaluations and personnel issues.
  • Coordinate best training practices across all Navico Group Brands and Regions.
  • Establish and administer metrics to track program performance and progress to divisional goals.
