Performs maintenance and preventive maintenance on flight, inflight, and maintenance training equipment and ensures maximum availability via scheduled inspections and a preventive maintenance program. Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics Certificate is required.
  • Basic ability to teach in classroom and hangar settings.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience maintaining the Embraer 170/175 including avionics.
  • Two years teaching/training experience.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

  • Performs scheduled operational checks, maintenance and preventive maintenance on flight, inflight, and maintenance training equipment.
  • Develops, updates, coordinates, and oversees scheduled inspections and a preventive maintenance program for assigned training equipment.
  • Maintains, administers, and updates equipment records and orders replacement parts.
  • Available to repair training devices on-call as needed.
  • Assists in developing, updating and delivering Maintenance Training Department courses as assigned.
  • Participates in the development, planning and organization of new subject training.
  • Provides technical leadership and subject matter expertise to manager and team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
