About The Position

Redwood Community Services, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and motivated Training Coordinator to support the planning, scheduling, and day-to-day delivery of agency training programs for employees, caregivers, and community partners. This role manages a wide range of training logistics—including scheduling, venue coordination, material preparation, and maintaining tracking systems—while ensuring training resources are available and records remain accurate and compliant. The Training Coordinator serves as a primary communication link between participants, trainers, supervisors, and stakeholders; publishes weekly training announcements across multiple platforms; and supports onboarding activities, registration management, and administrative functions that keep trainings running smoothly. Key responsibilities include tracking attendance, evaluating program effectiveness, maintaining accurate training records, preparing documentation for billing, and utilizing the Training Management System (TMS) and Learning Management System (LMS) software to manage training activities. With a strong focus on organization, communication, and reliability, the Training Coordinator plays a vital role in helping RCS maintain high-quality training operations and remain a premier training provider in rural Northern California.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean DMV printout (no more than 3 points).
  • Must pass a clear background check with CACI, DOJ & FBI.
  • CPR and First Aid Certified.
  • TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment.
  • Driving is a required function of this position.
  • Employees must use a personal vehicle that meets all agency requirements, including maintaining liability insurance that meets or exceeds state requirements.
  • Employees are responsible for ensuring the timely renewal of their vehicle insurance policies and providing updated documentation to the agency to remain in good standing and compliant with position requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and schedules training sessions, workshops, and seminars based on organizational needs, employee requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Handles logistics such as venue booking, arranging equipment setup, and ensuring materials preparation for training events occurs.
  • Ensures availability of training materials, resources, and tools required for effective learning and development. Places product orders timely.
  • Serves as a point of contact for participants, trainers, and other stakeholders to communicate schedules, updates, and logistics related to training programs. Manages media requests and, on occasion, creates media.
  • Publishes upcoming trainings weekly through Viva Engage, Constant Contact, Web calendar, Facebook, and other virtual platforms. Develops training announcement marketing strategies.
  • Monitors attendance, collects feedback, and evaluates the effectiveness of training programs to make improvements. Maximizes training attendance by monitoring registration and developing strategies to increase enrollment.
  • Keeps accurate records of training activities, including attendance, participant evaluations, and training expenses.
