The position is responsible for coordinating, developing, and delivering TriMark's training programs for all departments and disciplines of the organization. The position works with department supervisors and the Director of Human Resources to determine what programs are necessary. The position is also responsible for ensuring that TriMark’s facilities are compliant with IATF and ISO certification requirements specific to training and training records. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources. The incumbent is responsible for developing new and maintaining current training programs for TriMark Corporation. These programs may be requested and/or created by an employee, the Supervisor of a Department, the Board of Directors, or initiated by the incumbent. Once the parameters of the program are outlined, the position will determine whether the program will be facilitated by himself/herself, Department Supervisors, subject matter experts, online through Dayforce Learning, or by a vendor or institution of higher education selected by the incumbent. The position must document validation either through testing or observation of the effectiveness of the program material. The position must possess an understanding of training program development, adult learning principles, and instruction techniques. The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining schedules, and training programs used for new employee orientation and development. These programs are to be developed and stored so that they may be utilized at other TriMark locations. Examples include, but are not limited to blueprint reading, gauge usage, job specific skills, etc. The incumbent ensures effectiveness of all training programs by maintaining contact with department heads and supervisors to question whether new employees have appropriate skills when they report to the area to run production. The position assists the Director of Human Resources with work group assessments. These assessments are to identify the needs of each work group collectively and individually. Programs will be developed based on the results of these assessments to develop dynamic work groups. Individual training programs will also be developed to address individual needs pending the results of the assessments and peer evaluations. The incumbent will learn job requirements for both plant and office positions to have a general understanding of training needs for each role. This position supports Department Supervisors and Process Engineering in evaluation of job requirements. The incumbent supports Department Supervisors in ensuring up to date and accurate departmental checklists are present for each job. The incumbent will update and maintain a training matrix for all hourly and office personnel to ensure all cross training and training needs are tracked. The incumbent will also update and maintain the annual training plan tracking costs of training and validation of training effectiveness. The incumbent will partner with North Iowa Community College to plan training and utilize 260F grant funds available. The incumbent maintains all training records of TriMark employees. This is done through the Training Plan and individual records. These records are always kept up to date and are ready for ISO, IATF, or internal auditing. This positions key measures are training validation and 100% completion of required training. The incumbent supports the Environmental, Safety & Health Engineer to develop required and effective environmental and safety related training. A requirement of this position is the ability to motivate and inspire individuals throughout the company when conducting training programs. Therefore, the incumbent must possess excellent communication skills, including both written and oral, as well as negotiation skills. The incumbent must have strong public speaking skills. The incumbent must always conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner to promote good working relationships among supervisors and peers while displaying cooperation, tact, resourcefulness, and assertiveness. To be successful in this position, the incumbent must have proficient computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to operate audio-visual equipment to aid them in their job functions.
