About The Position

LG Resources is hiring a Training & Compliance Specialist for a leading electronics manufacturing company in American Fork. This position is responsible for onboarding new employees, delivering technical and compliance training, maintaining employee training records, and ensuring employees are qualified to meet quality and regulatory standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, quality, training, or a related technical field.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or coaching employees in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and IPC workmanship standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeeping systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a related field.
  • Experience with EMS manufacturing, ISO 9001, ITAR, or CMMC/NIST compliance.
  • IPC certifications (IPC-A-610 CIT and IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIT) or the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct new hire orientation and job-specific training.
  • Serve as the company's primary instructor for IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001 awareness, ESD, workmanship standards, and internal manufacturing procedures.
  • Deliver classroom and hands-on training covering quality standards, manufacturing processes, and company procedures.
  • Coordinate employee certifications, recertifications, and refresher training.
  • Maintain training records, certifications, and qualification documentation.
  • Evaluate employee competency through assessments and production floor observations.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Human Resources to identify training needs and support workforce development.
  • Develop and update training materials, presentations, and learning resources.
  • Support compliance with quality systems, ITAR, CMMC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and other training-related projects.
