Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Training Associate. The hours for this postion are M-F 8am-430pm The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Eaton is currently seeking a Training Associate - PNBD to join our team. This position is based out of our Sumter, SC facility. The Training Associate - PNBD will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering department specific learning and development initiatives for the Panelboard area at the Sumter facility. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility/environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering and developing training using adult learning principles
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and provide unbiased feedback to learners
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word)
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Sumter facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience at an Eaton manufacturing facility
  • Demonstrated proficiency with E-learning software (Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia etc.)
  • Train the trainer qualification
  • Demonstrated training material development using the ADDIE model or similar training development methodology
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to trainees in both on the floor and classroom environments
  • 1 year experience developing video and photo content

Responsibilities

  • Leads the coordination, delivery, and maintenance of department specific training for all full-time and contingent workers within the Panelboard department. Training courses may include, but are not limited to, department specific OJT Checklists, skills assessments, annual department training plan, & Eaton University learning management system (LMS) requirements.
  • Develop department specific training content utilizing various media including, but not limited to PowerPoint presentations, video & photography.
  • Partner with department leaders to update training content, maintain training records, and ensure compliance with internal systems and programs.
  • Serve as the department subject matter expert (SME) for training in the Panelboard area.
  • Manage and document learning using the Eaton corporate learning management system (LMS), Eaton University.
  • Manage department training updates & communications via monthly reports, department training matrixes, meetings & monitors.
  • Support special projects, internal & external benchmarking and facilitate department training sessions as assigned.
  • Drive for continuous improvement and support 5S+ initiatives in support of a Zero Incident Culture.
