About The Position

The Training & Education Manager is responsible for leading all internal and external training and education initiatives across the U.S. Medical Business. This role is responsible for developing scalable education infrastructure, standardized training pathways, competency programs, and surgeon education initiatives that support safe, consistent, and effective platform utilization. The role supports both domestic and international stakeholders and may assist with clinical evaluation and training activities associated with global expansion initiatives, including portions of the EU clinical pathway.

Nice To Haves

  • clinical, healthcare, or education-related background preferred
  • Experience in medical device training, clinical education, surgical robotics, navigation, enabling technologies, and clinical evaluations preferred
  • Experience developing training materials, educational programs, or competency initiatives preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a comprehensive education strategy for surgeons, fellows, residents, and clinical staff.
  • Design structured training pathways (fundamentals, advanced, and expert levels) including labs, simulations, proctorships, and onsite support.
  • Develop standardized training curriculum and assets: Course outlines and learning objectives, Clinical technique guides and E-learning modules, Certification programs and assessments.
  • Partner with Sales & Commercial teams to align education programs with system trials, launches, and high-value customer engagements.
  • Create and deliver clinical and product training for sales reps, clinical specialists, service engineers, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all field teams can credibly discuss clinical indications, data, workflows, and competitive positioning.
  • Establish competency frameworks and certification standards for various internal roles.
  • Translates feedback from surgeons and clinical staff into prioritized integration and enhancement roadmaps.
  • Ensures that integration-related training, documentation, and support materials are incorporated into both customer-facing and internal education programs.
  • Create scalable education infrastructure and standardized learning pathways.
  • Support development of educational content, presentations, manuals, and procedural guides.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve training quality and learning effectiveness.
  • Support global training initiatives and coordination with international stakeholders.
  • Assist with training and educational support related to clinical evaluation initiatives and portions of the regulatory approval pathway.
  • Support alignment of training standards across global initiatives where appropriate.
  • Manage and maintain projects utilizing designated project management platforms to support prioritization, cross-functional alignment, execution tracking, accountability, and timely completion of strategic initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Clinical Team, Technical Services, Sales, Marketing, and Clinical Strategy & Innovation teams.
  • Support organizational readiness and scalability through structured education programs.
  • Provide educational feedback and recommendations to leadership and product teams.
  • Participate in risk analysis, usability evaluations, and design validation activities.
  • Ensure clinical activities and educational programs meet compliance, safety, and regulatory standards.
