About The Position

This position reports to the Learning and Development Manager. This role requires someone who is analytical, curious, inquisitive, and enthusiastic about training and educating others in the credit union. You will be an empowering mentor that will be a trusted expert, a natural communicator, a champion for cultivating a learning culture, and a guide through educational resources that will upskill Team Members.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a business-related field or completion of a nationally recognized certificate or license in Training
  • Minimum of five years of training experience
  • At least three years of credit union operations or related experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal abilities
  • Understanding of financial industry concepts, related laws, and regulations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Considerable knowledge of contemporary adult learning principles, practices, and blended training methods.
  • Ability to facilitate training
  • Ability to develop, implement, and facilitate training material on any topic
  • Solid interpersonal and public relations skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Well-organized and attentive to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and web-based applications

Nice To Haves

  • Previous credit union experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the planning and development of training programs and activities throughout the credit union.
  • Delivering, monitoring, and conducting need, job, or task analysis to identify training needs and gaps.
  • Developing curriculum, training programs, and materials for continuing education, operational, technical, and specialized departmental/operations programs.
  • Coordinating the development and completion of organization-wide training schedules.
  • Developing technical support, information, and guidance on training and development issues and responding to requests for information on training and development programs.
  • Acting as an empowering mentor to provide guidance to our team members and build trust.
  • Preparing and updating training documents/resources and assessing training needs and programs for Raiz.
  • Recommending and modifying existing programs.
  • Creating, developing, and implementing new programs to meet needs.
  • Conducting training evaluations, surveys, pre, and post-tests.
  • Communicating in a way team members can relate to, helping them understand complex or intimidating topics so they feel more knowledgeable.
  • Complying with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules and regulations, in addition to the Customer Identification Program (CIP).
  • Attending required annual BSA training and required compliance training.
  • Training and developing training programs.
  • Coordinating and assisting others in the HR functional areas of recruitment and selection, and employee recognition functions.
