About The Position

The Training & Development Coordinator leads the training and career development processes for the plant as aligned with the Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS). This role designs and facilitates training, helps identify skill gaps, coordinates training solutions, and maintains documentation to ensure employees are prepared to perform their roles safely, effectively, and in alignment with operational expectations. This position owns the PLD Training & Career Development chapters, supports development of certified trainers, and contributes to building clear training pathways, that strengthen employee capability and support internal growth opportunities for hourly roles.

Requirements

  • 1 year in the role of Capri Operator
  • Prior training experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Highly Proficient in the use of Computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong soft skills including the ability to have difficult conversations and address deficiencies with respect.
  • Ability to adjust shift schedule to support all 3 shifts as required.
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Self-directed and motivated individual with a positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated a high level of organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably experience in with PowerPoint Presentations and Excel Spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate training and career development activities for new and current hourly employees across all departments
  • Schedule and track required training to ensure timely completion
  • Support onboarding training processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness
  • Partner with Production, CI, Quality, and HR teams to identify training needs and coordinate solutions
  • Maintain training documentation
  • Facilitate Individual Qualification Standards (IQS), Net Content training, and other role-specific training
  • Communicate training needs, updates, and completion status to department leadership
  • Follow up with employees in training to support timely progression through qualification requirements
  • Maintain regular floor presence (approximately 20–30% of the workday) to support on-the-job training, coaching, and employee support
  • Provide support for the hiring process including phone screens, interview coordination, and facility tours as needed
  • Coordinate the certified trainer program for hourly employees
  • Support identification of employees selected to become certified trainers
  • Assist in preparing trainers with resources, expectations, and guidance to support effective knowledge transfer
  • Maintain records of trainer qualifications and certifications
  • Support consistency in training delivery across departments
  • Assist in continuous improvement of trainer materials and resources
  • Support development opportunities for hourly employees by maintaining structured skill progression pathways
  • Assist supervisors in identifying development opportunities for employees seeking to expand skills or prepare for future roles
  • Coordinate step-up cards and progressive qualification tools that support employee growth
  • Create and Maintain qualification cards in Connected Worker.
  • Coordinate creation, updates, and tracking of training documentation including SOPs, WIs, OPLs, and related materials
  • Maintain departmental skills matrices to reflect current employee qualifications
  • Administer training assignments and testing through systems such as KHMS, Ownerversity, TPC, and Pearson
  • Assign and track Ownerversity coursework as required
  • Submit and track Connected Worker support tickets as needed
  • Partner with Quality to identify training gaps related to Food Safety and Quality (FSQ)
  • Collect feedback on training programs and collaborate cross-functionally to improve training materials and delivery methods
  • Support rollout of training tools and systems such as Squint across departments
  • Maintain organization and 5S standards for training areas and materials
  • Maintain a safety 1st mindset and approach to work.
  • Perform all duties safely & use discretion to prevent injuries to self and/or others.
  • Must comply with all GMP's.
  • Actively make floor observations of potential safety and quality risks and report through appropriate channels
