About The Position

Wayside is seeking a passionate Training and Content Development Manager to empower youth and families. As one of Massachusetts' most respected youth and family-serving agencies, Wayside supports over 6,000 individuals annually. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in project and/or program management, communications, or a highly collaborative cross-departmental role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to varied audiences.
  • Highly organized and tech-savvy.
  • Proficient in using collaborative work management platforms, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email marketing software (e.g., Mailchimp), Content Management Systems, employee intranets, and internal messaging tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack).

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and design of online portals and training materials, including handbooks, visual aids, online modules, resource guides, and tutorials.
  • Market the Wayside Training Center client learning portal and website, ensuring effective use of internal educational resources.
  • Support the marketing and communications department in event coordination and act as a visual content development resource.
  • Work with the VP of Government Relations to develop content for legislative priorities and employee training.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communication Manager to ensure cohesive branding across website, internal documents, and other materials.
  • Coordinate and roll out the Foundational Equity Training as a recurring offering.
  • Coordinate and roll out new internal training initiatives.
  • Lead DEI preservice initiatives and champion restructuring and collaborative impact committee structures.
  • Tailor training content to client contexts and implement an "accessibility-first" approach.
  • Support and conduct instructor-led training, workshops, and virtual sessions for onboarding, compliance, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement structured follow-up processes post-training to reinforce learning and measure impact.
  • Measure training effectiveness and analyze data on skill improvements and program ROI.
  • Conduct surveys, consultations, and interviews to determine training needs.
  • Collaborate closely with interagency departments on special projects, including content, layout, and publication of marketing materials.
