About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking a Training & Compliance Specialist to join their team. This role involves developing and auditing processes, curating policies and strategies, and effectively transferring knowledge to employees. The specialist will also handle administrative duties to ensure the portfolio remains current with training requirements from both Marksman Security and clients. The position requires strong soft skills, including communication, organization, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, as it involves liaising with various internal and external stakeholders. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, criminal justice, or a similar discipline, and/or comparable experience within the industry.
  • Prior experience working as a compliance manager, training manager, or in a similar position.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to utilize computer software to develop, present, and maintain training programs and exude technological proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor current policies and systems to ensure compliance with Marksman and client contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with site-level trainers and the Client Training team on audit and training requirements.
  • Learn, unlearn, and relearn the dynamic ecosystem of compliance and training.
  • Report to and liaise with the VP, RDOs, Program Support, and client representatives to make decisions based on received guidance.
  • Curate and maintain control systems to identify and handle rule-breaking and violations.
  • Contribute to business processes involving compliance and training for the portfolio.
  • Take timely actions to ensure compliance and training align with internal policies of Marksman and the Client.
  • Develop training content, including videos, presentations, and curriculum for the learning management system.
  • Create reports and documentation on potential compliance risks.
  • Establish and carry out proper training programs to ensure employees are aware of required audits and training.
  • Collaborate with leadership to conduct investigations, identify gaps in compliance and training strategies, and rectify them according to regulatory guidelines.
  • Report to and work closely with the Regulatory Compliance and Audit Manager to assess, develop, and maintain site regulatory compliance through training, content creation, and learning management systems.
