Compiling, maintaining, and managing educational, training, and communications materials, tools, and documentation for easy access and effective use of Bridges employees across multiple platforms and styles of communication (PPT, video, web-based, etc.). Serving as the primary liaison with branding and design vendors; compile, coordinate, and collaborate on Bridges style guide and messaging materials. Analyzing the effectiveness of training programs and communication initiatives through metrics and feedback. Maintaining and updating externally facing, web-based communications. Preparing bi-annual reports for review by the people and culture director. Championing a positive culture and taking leadership of the role in alignment with Bridges’ mission and values. Collaborative by Coordinating instructional design of team learning, including conducting group learning needs assessments and coordinating with leadership team and guest presenters. Supporting supervisors with identifying professional development-related resources, actions, and projects for their employees. Working with Bridges executive director and other leadership team members to develop or support effective communications between Bridges and its external partners, including media, legislators, the general public, family members, judges, attorneys, service providers, participants, the Bridges Commission, and Bridges advisory councils. Coordinating internal and external communications, including organization-wide announcements, newsletters, internet, and intranet content ensuring needs of adult learning and diverse audiences are met. Leading and managing the annual legislative report process: serve as project lead for the preparation, drafting, review, and timely submission of the Office’s legislative annual report; coordinate cross‑departmental data collection and analysis in collaboration with the Data and Analysis Manger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory and legislative requirements, drafting clear and persuasive report narratives and supporting materials, managing internal reviews and revisions, maintaining project timelines and version control, and presenting final report deliverables to leadership and legislative contacts. No supervisory responsibilities. This is a dynamic position where the scope of responsibilities and duties will evolve, and the incumbent should anticipate fulfilling other duties as assigned that are reasonable and necessary to fulfill the Bridges mission. The ideal candidate for this role is expected to not only possess the ability to fulfill the outlined duties but will also be a proactive, adaptable, and capable contributor to the development of the role’s scope and responsibilities, aligning them with the evolving needs of the Office.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5+) years of experience in communications, education, instruction/training, or a combination of the above.
  • Ability to work independently with a hybrid environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Demonstration of professional alignment with Bridges values, culture, and principles of justice and equity through the organization.
  • Must be a current resident of the State of Colorado or become a resident of the State of Colorado within 30 days of the hire date.
  • Have reliable transportation to meet your position’s travel requirements.
  • Ability to work remotely, in an office setting, and travel throughout Colorado or region, depending on the position’s responsibilities.
  • Willingness to submit to a routine background investigation, including a criminal history check.
  • Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within three (3) workdays of your start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Seven or more (7+) years of experience in communications, education, instruction/training, or a combination of the above.
  • Experience coordinating and managing training for employees within the criminal justice and/or behavioral health industry.
  • Demonstrated continuing education, advocacy, or volunteer work in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice or social justice principles.
  • Lived experience.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
