About The Position

The HealthRIGHT 360 Training and Apprenticeship program is a temporary, part-time, 5-month, 20-hour per week program focused on training and work readiness. This 'Earn While-You-Learn' initiative offers educational opportunities, practical work experience, and clear pathways to employment. It is designed for former clients, program alumni, individuals with entry-level or below work experience and education, and those seeking support to enter the workforce. The program further develops skills through hands-on experience with clients, facilitating a smooth transition to employment within HealthRIGHT 360. Apprentices will engage in a structured schedule of trainings, client service shadowing, individual and group supervision, participation in multidisciplinary Treatment Team Meetings, and providing support to various client populations across the HealthRIGHT 360 Family of Programs. Additionally, apprentices will receive basic job skills training, including computer literacy. As part of the program, apprentices will develop comprehensive plans for continuing education and employment pathways. There may be opportunities for apprentices to register as interns with CADTP.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Background Clearance
  • Must not be on active parole or probation, clear with OIG database.
  • Must complete a background check and live scan.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to commute for in-person job training to programs in either San Francisco, San Mateo, or Santa Clara.
  • Fully participating in the Training and Apprenticeship Program training activities.
  • Accurately documenting their hours.
  • Attending regular meetings for supervision and training.
  • Completing all assigned training and following all policies and procedures.
  • Following all confidentiality and compliance requirements of the program.
  • Observing the daily activities of a residential and/or outpatient SUD treatment program.
  • Shadowing certified SUD Counselors/Case Managers during assessment, treatment planning, groups, classes, counseling sessions and case management sessions.
  • Attending treatment team meetings and learn about documentation requirements in an electronic health record system.
