About The Position

OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that supports Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology. OCT currently has an opening for a Training and Adoption Specialist to work with our federal client. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS), with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience or Master’s degree (MA/MS), with a minimum of two (2) year of relevant experience.
• A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a formal degree.
• Relevant experience includes developing training materials, conducting user training, and supporting technology adoption.
• Of the required years of experience, at least one (1) year must be in support of federal government agencies ( such as USCG, DHS, or DoD.)
• Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) certification
• Must be able to undergo and successfully complete a Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-12 qualifying Tier 2 background investigation for Common Access Card (CAC) issuance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure user readiness and adoption of new technologies.
• Develop and deliver training programs.
• Create user guides and documentation to support knowledge management.
• Conduct user training sessions.
• Assist with communication efforts to facilitate smooth business transitions for all deployed solutions.
