About The Position

This paid mentor program is for drivers with a Class A CDL who need driving experience. Drivers train alongside a mentor for 4 to 6 weeks and earn $650 per week during training. After training, drivers operate solo, with a guaranteed $1,000 per week for their first three months. Average weekly gross pay is $1,200 to $1,800, with 1,800 to 2,900 miles per week. Routes run east of Denver, excluding the Northeast. Drivers haul a mix of customer freight and are home every two weeks. The role may involve cold-weather driving in the north during winter. Holiday work is voluntary. Additional compensation includes $15 per stop and $75 plus miles on short hauls. The company provides $300 paid orientation and covers travel. After training, drivers may bring riders and pets. Medical, dental, and vision coverage begin after 30 days; the role also includes a 401(k) with company match and paid time off.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Class A CDL.
Have at least 120 hours of training from an accredited CDL school; no driving experience is needed for the trainee program.
Experienced drivers must have 6 months of OTR experience in the last 12 months or 12 or more months in the past 5 years.
Have no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years.
Have no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
Have no DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years.
Pass hair and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

Train alongside a mentor for 4 to 6 weeks.
Drive solo after completing training, operating routes east of Denver except the Northeast.
Transport a mix of customer freight types.
Drive 1,800 to 2,900 miles per week.
Potentially drive in cold weather in northern areas during winter.
