About The Position

National Beef of Dodge City, Kansas, is hiring a Trailer Yards Accountability Specialist. The role is safety sensitive and is not remote. The specialist documents reefer trailer and load information, works with internal departments, drivers, and outside carriers, completes reports, records observations and incidents, and operates a motor vehicle. Work takes place outdoors, with exposure to inclement and extreme weather and varying temperatures. The position may involve walking up to 12 miles per day. The starting wage is $24.28 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Strong, ethical character; dependability; objectivity; and professionalism.
Good people and conflict-resolution skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
Good time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability and willingness to stand or walk for long periods.
Ability and willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
Exemplary performance and attendance record at previous employment.
Availability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
Two years of stable work history.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice To Haves

Previous trailer accountability specialist experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Document reefer trailer information, including the starting unit and all required information.
Work with internal departments, drivers, and outside carriers.
Communicate regularly with plant departments and the department manager.
Complete required reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Check load-related information for completeness and accuracy.
Contribute to a team effort.
Record observations, occurrences, and unusual activities.
Document incidents of irregularity.
Operate a motor vehicle.
Perform other duties as assigned.
