About The Position

This is journey level professional and administrative work in addressing traffic and transportation issues and planning, designing and inspecting according to applicable laws, regulations, and standards and evaluating traffic engineering and other transportation projects. Work involves developing systems and plans to facilitate efficient and safe traffic movement and control, prevent accidents, and ensure ample street lighting is provided.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Traffic Engineering from a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• E.I.T. Certificate in the State of Alabama or E.I.T within eighteen (18) months of hire date.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) years of progressive civil engineering or Traffic engineering experience is desired.
