Requirements

  • Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role.
  • Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Excellent phone skills including professional phone presence.
  • Excellent writing ability.
  • Expert problem solving skills, with ability to interact with customers and follow through quickly with problem resolution.
  • Ability to work in warehouse/office environment.
  • Flexibility to work earlier or later to complete daily tasks.
  • Self-starter who is motivated and works well independently with little supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AS400, WMS, and SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch drivers (Phone, email, in-person) to align with Extra board and length-of-service procedures.
  • Verify all drivers can perform next day’s duties based on work performed today and HOS limitations.
  • Audit/Update TMS times and carrier tenders prior to 5 PM the day before store delivery.
  • Correct ELD issues and support HOS compliance.
  • Plan work assignments and equipment utilization.
  • Track and locate equipment.
  • Schedule and organize the day’s repairs, pm schedules, and services.
  • Support daily route planning.
  • Respond to emergencies and dispatch personnel/vehicles.
  • Ensure loads are closed in TMS.
  • Help manage Track My Truck and Four Kites tracking accuracy.
  • Handle/communicate delivery time changes with retailers.
  • Prepare transportation paperwork for drivers, routes, and backhaul.
  • Assign route for Ace Fleet Drivers.
  • Maintain Daily/Weekly reports.
  • Interact with Ace Retailers providing information and services.
  • Serve as point of contact for the Drivers.
  • Various other administrative duties, including Ace Retailer packing list and BOLs.
