About The Position

Responsible for ensuring all paperwork for the shipping/receiving departments is completed and maintained in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum of one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as routing guides, carrier documents, and vendor packing slips.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively with all employees of organization and outside vendors as necessary
• Ability to apply concepts of basic math
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
• Knowledge of MS Office, such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in SAP is preferred as daily use of SAP may be required in this position.

Responsibilities

• Entering various data related to shipping documents into the automated warehouse management system (WMS)
• Process bill of landing
• Contact carriers as necessary to have shipments picked up
• Monitor the completion of inbound and outbound shipments and daily review of all paperwork
• Maintain break log, Investigate and resolve issues and communicate with appropriate company personnel and carriers
• Daily routing of orders to maximize efficiencies and minimize fright cost where appropriate
