About The Position

As a Protector, you work with a team at job sites to help manage traffic safely. No experience or degree is needed; training and support are provided. The role involves working outdoors year-round in all weather, with shifts that may change according to job needs. Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required. You may stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift. The company provides a hard hat, safety goggles, safety vest, safety whistle, walkie-talkie, and hot- and cold-weather gear. You must provide your own steel-toe safety boots that go above the ankle. Pay is $18.36–$20.07 per hour, with overtime available and pay increases during the first year. Paid training and a traffic safety certificate are provided. Benefits for eligible employees include on-demand pay availability; PTO and benefits details will be provided by the Union. Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for long periods.
Ability to lift 40–50 pounds.
Willingness to work in traffic and changing weather.
Flexible schedule and punctuality for every shift.
Pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.
Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules at all times.
Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.
Provide steel-toe safety boots that go above the ankle.

Responsibilities

Set up and take down cones, signs, barricades, and other traffic control equipment.
Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor traffic and job-site activity.
Follow all safety rules taught during training.
Communicate with the crew and supervisor.
Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
