About The Position

The Trading Specialist supports Robinhood’s 24/7 trading function and Trading Operations team. The team ensures accurate, timely, and compliant trade execution across supported asset classes while protecting customers and the firm. It works closely with Engineering, Compliance, Customer Experience, and external market centers to maintain system stability and trading integrity. The specialist monitors live trading activity across overnight, extended-hours, and regular market sessions, supports trading infrastructure, investigates and resolves trading issues, coordinates responses to system or venue disruptions, and communicates with internal teams and external partners. The role offers hands-on exposure to trading operations, risk management, and customer-impacting decisions, with opportunities for learning and career growth. The role is remote and tied to a local Robinhood office in New York, NY; Lake Mary, FL; Chicago, IL; or Denver, CO. Two schedules are offered, all times Eastern: Schedule 1 is Tuesday and Thursday 11:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.–9 p.m. Schedule 2 is Monday and Thursday 8 p.m.–5 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday 9 p.m.–9 a.m.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
3–5 years of experience working in a broker-dealer operations or trading environment.
FINRA Series 7 required.
FINRA Series 57 license required.
Strong understanding of brokerage operations functions.
Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to a changing environment.

Responsibilities

Execute Written Supervisory Procedures to comply with SEC and FINRA rules.
Enter orders and execute equity and options trades.
Resolve trade inquiries.
Monitor trading activity, firm accounts, and corporate actions, and identify and resolve trade-related problems.
Monitor the health of routing systems and venues, and interact with venues as required.
Coordinate responses to system, trading, and communications (SEV)-related issues.
Work with Product, Engineering, and Compliance on product development and problem-solving.
