About The Position

Robinhood’s Trading Operations team ensures accurate, timely, and compliant trade execution across supported asset classes while protecting customers and the firm. The team works closely with Engineering, Compliance, Customer Experience, and external market centers to maintain system stability and trading integrity during market sessions. This role will help support Robinhood’s 24/7 trading function.

The Trading Specialist monitors live trading activity across overnight, extended-hours, and regular market sessions while supporting the health of Robinhood’s trading infrastructure. The role investigates and resolves trading issues, coordinates responses to system or venue disruptions, and communicates with internal teams and external partners. It provides hands-on exposure to trading operations, risk management, and customer-impacting decisions, with opportunities for learning and career growth.

The role is remote and tied to a local Robinhood office in New York, NY; Lake Mary, FL; Chicago, IL; or Denver, CO. Available schedules are Tuesday and Thursday 11:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m. EST and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.–9 p.m. EST; or Monday and Thursday 8 p.m.–5 a.m. EST and Saturday and Sunday 9 p.m.–9 a.m. EST.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience working in a broker-dealer operations or trading environment.
• FINRA Series 7 required.
• FINRA Series 57 license required.
• Strong understanding of brokerage operation functions.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute Written Supervisory Procedures to comply with SEC and FINRA rules.
• Enter orders and execute equity and option orders.
• Resolve trade inquiries.
• Monitor trading activity, firm accounts, and corporate actions, and identify and resolve problems associated with trades.
• Monitor the health of routing systems and venues, and interact with venues as required.
• Coordinate responses to system, trading, and communications (SEV)-related issues.
• Engage with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams on product development and problem-solving.
