About The Position

Every day, the Anglophone East School District (ASD-E) welcomes more than 20,000 students and 4,000 employees into our 40 schools and satellite offices. Each member of our team uniquely contributes to the learning and success of each of our students, whether they work inside or outside a classroom or school. Anglophone East School District is now accepting applications for a permanent full-time Tradesworker I (Journeyperson/Electrician). This is skilled work at the journeyperson level in the electrician trade. The employee must possess a journeyperson certificate in the electrician trade and is required to work at the journeyperson level. Work is not limited to the trade in which the employee possesses a journeyperson certificate. The employee may maintain records of stock of building materials and supplies and requisition materials and supplies for repair and maintenance projects. Work assignments are received verbally, or by written instructions, which may be accompanied by sketches or diagrams. Performance is reviewed by a designated superior through discussions, observations, inspections, reports and overall results for conformance with established standards. Other related responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

Graduation from high school or GED.
Considerable diversified experience at the journeyperson level in the Electrician trade.
Ability to operate a computer and appropriate software programs.
Ability to communicate details in verbal and written formats.
A journeyperson certificate in the electrician trade as issued by the New Brunswick Department of Training and Development.
A valid driver's license.
Undergo a Criminal Record Check.
