About The Position
Axiom is seeking Trade Compliance Lawyers to join their team, serving F500-ranked clients in the aerospace, defense, and life sciences industries. This role involves providing legal guidance on international trade regulations, reviewing transactions, conducting investigations, and advising on best practices.
Requirements
- Vietnamese language proficiency
- Experience practicing law with a focus on international trade compliance, including familiarity with EAR, ITAR, FTR, and/or AFAC
- Strong knowledge of import and export controls, economic sanctions, customs regulations, and other relevant trade laws and regulations
- Ability to stay current on changes to trade laws and regulations, and advise management on potential impacts on business operations
- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance and support to clients on matters related to export controls, sanctions, customs compliance, and other trade regulations.
- Conduct thorough reviews of international trade transactions, agreements, and documentation to identify potential compliance risks.
- Conduct investigations and draft voluntary disclosures.
- Advise on trade compliance requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address compliance issues and implement effective solutions.
