This role serves as the primary liaison with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), managing HTS classifications, Country of Origin (COO) determinations, and valuation programs. The position ensures compliance with regulations from agencies such as the FDA, USDA, Agriculture, and CBP for both imports and exports. It involves overseeing the entire import/export process, maintaining accurate documentation, and managing relationships with carriers, service providers, and customs brokers. The role also focuses on analyzing shipping lanes to reduce costs, leading a team of specialists, conducting internal audits, and driving process improvements. The Trade Compliance and Logistics Manager will act as the subject matter expert on trade laws and regulations, provide executive-level guidance, manage departmental budgets, and oversee training. Other duties as assigned by the Manager may also be part of this role.
