About The Position

This is a mobile tractor-trailer mechanic apprentice position located in Orlando, FL. The role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, a hard worker, enjoys working outdoors, likes working with their hands, and is looking to learn a trade in a dynamic field. Professional experience is not a requirement, but previous wrenching experience is strongly preferred. The apprentice will get paid while learning the trade with hands-on training. A service truck and tools will be supplied by RSS. This is a full-time, year-round outdoor work opportunity.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to pass a Drug Screen.
• Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular and frequent basis.

Nice To Haves

• Previous wrenching experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with a Trailer Mechanic.
• Help perform repairs and maintenance on semi-trailers.
• Keep trailers in compliance with DOT safety standards.
• Changing brakes, tires/wheel service, electrical work and fabrication.
