Tractor Trailer Driver - 1st Shift 5AM to 5PM
About The Position
Daniels Health is hiring a full-time, permanent Tractor Trailer Driver based at its Easton, Pennsylvania plant. The driver will travel on New York City routes and deliver throughout New York City, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, collecting sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare customers and delivering a high level of customer service. The role involves operating straight trucks and tractor trailers up to 53 feet, handling and organizing containers, and complying with Department of Transportation requirements. This is a Monday–Friday first-shift position, listed as 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with 45 hours per week. The posted rate is a non-negotiable $32 per hour, and the posting offers a $3,000 new-hire bonus.
Requirements
- Class A driver's license and a valid DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record.
- At least 3 years of experience operating straight trucks or tractor trailers up to 53 feet.
- Pass the 7-year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Experience performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
- Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
- Can-do attitude and strong customer focus.
- Proven longevity in past employment.
- Touch freight experience.

- Background in soiled linens, ice/liquor/pallets of food product, municipal waste, or medical/office equipment.
Responsibilities
- Drive on New York City routes and make deliveries and pickups throughout NYC, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
- Operate straight trucks and tractor trailers up to 53 feet safely.
- Collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer locations.
- Provide strong customer service and build positive customer relationships.
- Complete deliveries according to schedule and clearly communicate changes.
- Load, unload, and organize the truck to meet schedule needs.
- Comply with DOT regulations, log hours, and participate in roadside inspections.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200 pounds.
