Tractor Trailer Driver - 1st Shift 5AM to 5PM
About The Position
Daniels Health is seeking a customer-focused Class A driver to collect sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare customers and deliver them to the Easton, Pennsylvania plant. The role serves routes throughout New York City, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, operating straight trucks and tractor trailers up to 53 feet. Drivers provide customer service at pickup and delivery locations and handle, organize, load, and unload containers according to schedule needs. This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday through Friday on the first shift, with a stated schedule of 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 45 hours per week. The position pays a set rate of $32 per hour and offers a $3,000 new-hire bonus. Overtime opportunities are available. Full-time roles include benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one.
Requirements
- Class A driver’s license.
- Clean driving record and valid DOT medical card.
- At least 3 years of experience operating a straight truck or tractor trailer up to 53 feet.
- Pass a 7-year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
- Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
- Can-do attitude and strong customer focus.
- Proven longevity in past employment.
- Touch-freight experience.

- Experience with soiled linens, ice or liquor, pallets of food product, municipal waste, or medical/office equipment.
Responsibilities
- Make deliveries and pickups throughout New York City, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
- Operate a straight truck or tractor trailer up to 53 feet safely.
- Collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer locations.
- Provide strong customer service and build positive customer relationships.
- Complete deliveries on schedule and clearly communicate changes.
- Load, unload, and organize the truck according to schedule needs.
- Comply with DOT regulations, log hours, and complete roadside inspections.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
- Consistently lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200 pounds.
