About The Position

The Track Laborer role requires an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude, with comfort initiating conversations and creating a fun environment for guests. Candidates must meet the stated education or experience qualification and be able to perform basic reading, writing, communication, arithmetic, and problem-solving tasks. The employee must be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing License.

Requirements

• Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Comfort initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests.
• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing License.
