About The Position

The Track Laborer must have an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude and be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests. The role requires basic reading, writing, communication, and math skills, along with the ability to follow detailed but straightforward instructions and handle problems in standardized situations. The employee must be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing License.

Requirements

• Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests.
• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing License.
