About The Position
Empire High School is seeking a Track & Field Coach who is responsible for coaching, developing, and mentoring student-athletes in various track and field events. The coach will design and implement training programs that emphasize proper technique, strength development, safety, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence while supporting the overall goals of the track and field program.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the sport’s fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass a background check as required by the school district.
Nice To Haves
- Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level.
- Previous experience as an assistant coach.
- Knowledge of strength and conditioning principles.
- Experience with student-athlete development programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance player performance and team success.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
- Organize and supervise team practices, conditioning programs, and game strategies.
- Promote academic achievement and ensure players adhere to eligibility requirements.
- Represent Empire High School with professionalism in the community and in interscholastic competitions.
- Ensure compliance with Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) rules and school policies.
