Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years’ experience in a related position
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient with Resident Tracker and Homeless Information Management System
  • Ability to work independently and with little supervision
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledgeable in de-escalation tactics and motivational interviewing
  • Knowledgeable how to identify community resources for all guests

Responsibilities

  • Be the daily point of contact for an assigned caseload of guests.
  • Assess the unique needs and barriers that led each guest to seek shelter.
  • Assist guests in achieving their daily, weekly, and long-term life goals through personalized action plans.
  • Provide spiritual support, guidance, and encouragement.
  • Help guests navigate their challenges while fostering a sense of dignity and hope.
  • Collaborate with the team to facilitate referrals for guests interested in volunteer opportunities and transitional housing.
