About The Position

The Track and Trace Clerk is responsible for monitoring, documenting, and communicating service-impacting transportation delays. This role supports on-time delivery performance by ensuring timely, accurate communication with internal stakeholders, carriers, and warehouses, while maintaining complete and accurate records within transportation systems.

Requirements

  • Ability to adapt to frequent changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to driver, carrier, warehouse, and internal inquiries through the Late Truck database inbox in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify, document, and communicate all service-impacting events accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Execute the standard process for communicating late truck notifications during daytime operations to Customer Service and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide clear, timely updates regarding: Delayed pickups, Delayed deliveries, Appointment risks, Missed shipping or delivery windows.
  • Escalate complex, high-impact, or time-sensitive on-time delivery (OTD) issues to the OTD Supervisor as appropriate.
  • Partner with carriers to obtain accurate and timely shipment status updates.
  • Ensure all communications, decisions, and load updates are accurately recorded in the Transportation Management System (TMS) and applicable internal tracking tools.
  • Support additional projects or duties as assigned.
