About The Position
The UNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary, part-time faculty to teach 1000 and 2000 level Fine Arts courses for the spring 2027 semester. The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico, functioning as a community college in the region and designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution. It is located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia county. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs, technical vocational programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit High School/College courses to Valencia and Socorro Counties.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in Fine Arts
- One year of fine arts teaching experience at the post-secondary level
Nice To Haves
- An MFA in Fine Arts (or related field)
- One year of fine arts teaching experience at a community college
- A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities
Responsibilities
- Teach 1000 and 2000 level Fine Arts courses.
