About The Position
The UNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary, part-time faculty to teach 1000 and 2000 level Fine Arts courses for the spring 2027 semester. The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico, functioning as a community college in rural Valencia county. It offers academic transfer programs, technical vocational programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit High School/College courses. The campus is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution with an emphasis on teaching excellence.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in Fine Arts
- One year of fine arts teaching experience at the post-secondary level
Nice To Haves
- An MFA in Fine Arts (or related field)
- One year of fine arts teaching experience at a community college
- A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities
Responsibilities
- Teach 1000 and 2000 level Fine Arts courses.
