About The Position

This role provides excellent customer service to Mattel Toy Store customers and drives store sales. The associate must be able to work a minimum of 3 days per week, including Saturdays, though full-time hours are available. The associate will operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, process payments, maintain an orderly workstation, actively engage with customers to promote specials and additional items, and close the POS, documenting sales transactions and tracking sales metrics. This role is the 'FACE of Mattel' and aims to leave a lasting impression.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Point of Sale (POS) device and process payments for all guests.
  • Enter new customers and update existing customers in the POS system accurately and with correct membership type.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean workstation.
  • Actively engage with customers to promote weekly specials, add on items and other values and deals.
  • Close POS, document sales transactions, track sales metrics and provide reports to management on sales performance and customer feedback at the end of each shift.
  • Greet every customer and provide a friendly and welcoming environment.
  • Actively engage with customers to determine their needs and make appropriate product recommendations using comprehensive product knowledge information.
  • Promote products, explain features and benefits, and recommend additional products to maximize sales.
  • Meet daily service and sales goals.
