About The Position

Avis Budget Group is hiring a safety-focused Tow Truck Driver / Tech to transport rental vehicles safely, efficiently, and on time. The role supports fleet readiness and a positive customer experience by moving vehicles between airport lots, maintenance facilities, auto body shops, dealerships, and auctions. The position involves operating a flatbed tow truck and related equipment and working with newer vehicles across multiple makes and models.

The driver inspects and maintains tow truck equipment, keeps it clean and in good working order, tracks transports and time accurately, and follows safety procedures and driving standards. This position requires regular on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely. The role is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 2 years of towing experience, including flatbed hauling or wheel-lift tow trucks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in moderate noise levels.
• Flexibility to work all shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently stand, bend, reach, walk, sit, kneel, enter and exit vehicles, and drive.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport rental vehicles between airport lots, maintenance facilities, auto body shops, dealerships, and auctions.
• Safely operate a flatbed tow truck and related equipment.
• Inspect and maintain tow truck equipment, keeping it clean and in good working order.
• Track vehicle transports and time accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and driving standards.
• Move vehicles efficiently and safely to support fleet readiness, minimize downtime, and provide a smooth customer experience.
