Requirements

  • Completion of grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Experience as forklift operator or similar role is an asset
  • Positive attitude, punctual and strong work ethic; ability to work in a high-performing and fast-paced work environment
  • Flexibility to work shifts as assigned, including: Saturdays and holidays
  • Comfort using computers for basics tasks
  • Basic English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong attention to detail, identifying and sharing continuous improvement opportunities
  • Ability to work independently, while part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Working shifts as assigned, arriving on time and ready to work
  • Receiving tasks in our computer processing system
  • Picking product and bringing it to designated areas; putting away Long Title bins for storage
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Working effectively and conscientiously with your team members and being flexible to complete book-handling tasks in various departments as required
  • Upholding safe and lean work procedures in accordance with Book Depot Inc.’s Health and Safety Program
  • Maintaining Book Depot Inc.’s standards, productivity and accuracy levels
  • Model Book Depot Inc.’s values in everything you do — and hold others accountable for upholding them, too
