About The Position

USBC is looking for dedicated, service-minded individuals to join our tournament team as a Brackets Associate. Brackets team members enhance tournament bowler competitive experience by offering participants an opportunity to participate in mini-tournaments and side-pots. Brackets Associates are instrumental in driving engagement and excitement throughout USBC Championship Tournaments, contributing significantly to their overall success.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or continuing education.
  • High-volume cash handling experience.
  • 10 Key by touch.
  • Sales experience.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to changing operational needs.
  • Must be neat and well-groomed always as will have frequent contact with guests, clients, and supporting staff.
  • Must pass USBC’s Registered Volunteer Program (RVP) background screening and adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program (RVP).
  • Bowling tournament and bracket knowledge.
  • Effective communication skills-ability to speak clearly and confidently.
  • Robust interpersonal skills–team player.
  • Superior customer service proficiencies- service-minded and engaged.
  • Focused–the ability to complete tasks accurately in a distraction-filled environment.
  • Computer and communications literate-PC, phone systems, POS, and two-way radios.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive participant, financial, personnel, scoring, and operational information.

Responsibilities

  • Engage bowlers from sales windows – accurately tailor and process bracket orders, verify bowler data, and offer additional assistance/information.
  • Financial accountability – Successfully maintain/balance and impressed bank. Accurately conduct cash and credit sales transactions. Correctly prepare for the end-of-shift drops.
  • Engage bowlers on the floor – encourage participation (sales), product education, make announcements, stock and clean sales areas.
  • Review shift sales reports and customer orders for accuracy.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings and huddles. Keep tournament leaders apprised of department activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
