About The Position

This is a full-time, year-round position responsible for cleaning designated high-frequency touched surfaces throughout the resort hotel and outbuildings. The role promotes a positive image to guests and requires the employee to be pleasant, honest, and friendly, while also being able to address guest requests and concerns.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • At least 21 years of age, or 20 years of age with at least two years of licensed driving experience.
  • Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
  • Ability to hear verbal instructions, directions and warnings.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, stoop, twist and flex arms, walk up and down stairs/inclines, sit, climb up/down ladders or stand for up to five hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds from ground level to shoulder level and carry a distance of up to 500 feet with/without assistance.
  • Ability to walk up to 15 miles per day.
  • Ability to maneuver carts or dollies safely with loads up to 200 pounds up and down stairs, elevators, through passageways or outdoors up to 250 feet.
  • Ability to see close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to act calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to adhere to Mohonk Mountain House’s Dress and Grooming Standards.
  • Ability to learn and successfully demonstrate the Mohonk Mountain House Service Steps with Service Strategies with guests and staff.
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge of historical facts and information about Mohonk Mountain House.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including days/nights, weekdays/weekends, holidays, and during peak periods of business.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with other staff.
  • Ability to answer guest questions with accurate information and demonstrate a friendly and helpful personality by smiling, eye contact, initiating conversation and engaging with others.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repetitive disinfection of surfaces in both guest and employee areas including but not limited to handrails, telephones, elevator doors, door handles, counters, furniture, timeclocks, etc. following defined schedule.
  • Cleans and disinfects all public area toilets, urinals, sinks and sanitizes all the changing stations daily.
  • Completes checklist of areas cleaned and records time completed.
  • Conducts and records accurate surface cleanliness testing using ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) swabs.
  • Works with and uses various chemical cleaners.
  • Wears Proper Protective Equipment when performing tasks that recommend such equipment.
  • Inventories, restocks and maintains the Protocol Response backpacks.
  • Responds quickly to situations that require immediate disinfection using standardized procedures. Completes, scans and files reports as follow up.
  • Clearly communicates results of efforts, problems, resolutions and completed tasks verbally and in writing.
  • Notifies management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
  • Works productively and efficiently with or without supervision when performing routine tasks.
  • Inspects work by touch, sight, sound and smell for conformance to prescribed standards.
