About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Employee Housing Cleaner is to clean the employee housing properties. S/he must present themselves in a cordial and orderly manner. S/he must follow all Winter Park policies and procedures, all applicable laws (federal, state, and local), and all health and sanitation codes. The base hourly pay range for this position is $21.46 per hour. This role involves cleaning common areas, deep cleaning between seasons, cleaning vacated rooms during the winter season, ordering and restocking supplies, delivering supplies, identifying maintenance needs, snow removal, minor maintenance of cleaning equipment, lifting and moving furnishings, maintaining a friendly attitude, and reporting unsafe conditions. The work schedule is 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. This job description is an overview and responsibilities may evolve.

Requirements

  • High School or GED [General Education Development – High School Equivalent]
  • Cleaning / janitorial / facilities experience required
  • Proficiency with cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of disinfectants, cleansers, pesticides
  • Familiarity with paper, soap and chemical dispensers
  • Basic hand tool usage

Responsibilities

  • Clean all common areas of the lodge properties, including the kitchen, shared bathrooms, dining area, living area, hallways, stairwells, laundry, and foyer.
  • Empty all trash and waste containers and take them to dumpsters.
  • Deep clean lodges, units, and houses on the employee housing program between seasons, including floors, walls, windows, doors, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Clean rooms/properties that are vacated during the winter season.
  • Order cleaning and paper supplies and restock properties as needed.
  • Conduct stock inventory at properties and restock as needed.
  • Deliver supplies to lodges including cleaning equipment, bedding, kitchenware, vacuums, mattress protectors, shower curtains etc.
  • Identify maintenance needs and report to the housing team.
  • Perform snow removal as assigned.
  • Perform minor maintenance of cleaning equipment.
  • Lift and move furnishings and supplies.
  • Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude while dealing with other employees.
  • Report any unsafe conditions observed in the employee housing properties.
