About The Position

The Tote Wash role supports production operations in a poultry production environment by performing assigned general labor duties and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Work may involve live poultry and raw and/or cooked poultry products, depending on the assignment. The role supports safe operations by following personal protective equipment requirements, safety procedures, and company and department safety programs. The position is based on-site in Liberty, in the Shipping department, and reports to the Shipping Supervisor. It is a full-time, non-exempt role on the second shift. Compensation is $17.50 per hour, with an additional $1.50 per hour in additional compensation. Work is primarily in manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, cooler, dock, and poultry production areas, including damp and cold conditions. The work requires frequent movement while product is being moved and may include material handling, pallet building, truck loading, product staging, and work in coolers and dock areas. The position may occasionally require lifting up to 50 pounds. The role may require working overtime and some weekends. Farmer Focus recruits until the role is filled and does not have an application deadline.

Requirements

Ability to learn and perform all assigned general labor duties.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to work all assigned shifts, including overtime and some weekends.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must pass a drug and alcohol post-offer screening before employment begins.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must provide verification of employment eligibility by the end of the third day of work.
Hearing and eye protective equipment are required in the production area; hair and beard nets are also required there.
Additional personal protective equipment may be required based on task, location, and safety requirements.
The role requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping while product is moved.
The role may require operating material handling equipment, building pallets, loading trucks, staging product, working in coolers and dock areas, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned general labor duties at stations along the poultry production line.
Follow all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Prevent and report unsafe acts and conditions.
Adhere to applicable Lockout/Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Participate in company and department safety programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
