About The Position

As the Total Rewards & Payroll Manager, you’ll play a key part in shaping that experience across our U.S. operations while leading a small HR support team. Reporting to the Head of HR, this role is ideal for someone who loves optimization, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in building efficient, employee-friendly systems. You’ll oversee payroll, benefits, and HR operations for our U.S. workforce and lead a team of three HR professionals based in Vietnam. To support time zone collaboration, you’ll host virtual team meetings one to two evenings each week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 4–5 years of experience managing payroll, benefits, or HR operations—ideally in a retail or multi-site environment.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (ADP preferred) and comfort navigating complex data and reporting.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Authentic leadership style with the ability to connect, motivate, and develop team members across time zones.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and accountability in handling sensitive information.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll processing by the team in Vietnam for bi-weekly payroll for approximately 600 U.S. employees (exempt and non-exempt), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery.
  • Oversee benefits administration, including open enrollment, broker relationships, and data-driven program evaluation.
  • Serve as the lead administrator for ADP (HRIS), maintaining data integrity and ensuring efficient processing.
  • Lead all employee lifecycle activities—onboarding, promotions, job changes, and separations—with a focus on delivering a seamless employee experience.
  • Oversee leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and applicable state requirements.
  • Administer the company’s 401(k) plan and manage related employee communications.
  • Coordinate responses for employment verifications, unemployment, and workers’ compensation claims.
  • Conduct engaging new hire orientations and support internal HR communications initiatives.
  • Partner with HR leadership to refine HR policies, enhance processes, and introduce best practices.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship for a global support team based in Vietnam, fostering collaboration, alignment, and professional growth.
