About The Position

At Alarm.com, we’re looking for a Total Rewards Partner to administer and support the organization's Total Rewards programs – someone who gets excited about making sure the benefits, programs and pay that employees receive in exchange for their time, talent, effort and results at work are well understood and working as intended. This role serves as a knowledgeable and responsive resource for fellow HR teammates, employees and managers at all levels in the organization, delivering excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations. While the primary focus areas of this role will be absence/workplace accommodation management and health welfare and retirement administration, we’re seeking a Total Rewards professional with some knowledge and the ability to support compensation administration too.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of progressive Total Rewards/HR experience, with targeted focus on absence/workplace accommodation case management and health, welfare and retirement benefits administration.
  • General working knowledge/exposure to compensation initiatives and methods.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and compassionately to employees at all levels.
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) Office 365, and third-party platforms.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability and willingness to actively engage with a high-performing HR team that genuinely cares about each other and likes to have fun together.

  • Prior work experience in a B2B2C SaaS or other technology-focused organization
  • Experience administering concurrent FMLA and state-mandated paid family leave in Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York City, and Washington.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage leave of absence programs, including FMLA, state-mandated paid family and medical leave (PFML), short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), personal and military leaves. Track, monitor, and manage leave cases from initiation through return-to-work.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers navigating workplace accommodation requests, providing clear, empathetic, and timely guidance throughout the process. Partner with managers and HR Business Partners on interactive process meetings and reasonable accommodation assessments.
  • Coordinate with third-party leave administrators and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless case management processing and accurate pay continuation.
  • Update and maintain absence management procedures and employee-facing communications and resources.
  • Own the day-to-day administration of the organization's employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), voluntary benefits, and retirement plans.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and approachable resource for employee benefits inquiries, resolving issues with accuracy, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Process new hire enrollments, qualifying life events (QLEs), and termination/COBRA notifications in a timely and accurate manner. Analyze trends and recommend efficient and cost-effective solutions.
  • Lead annual open enrollment activities, including system configuration testing, employee communications, vendor coordination, and post-enrollment audits.
  • Partner with benefits brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators (TPAs) to resolve escalated claims issues, billing discrepancies, and eligibility matters. Assist in the evaluation and benchmarking of benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of benefits education and communication materials to drive employee understanding and program utilization.
  • Support administration of compensation initiatives (merit, bonus, equity) and compensation special projects as assigned.
  • Assist in maintaining compensation-related documentation, tools, resources, and classification records.
