About The Position

As a Manager, Total Rewards, you will own the strategy, design, competitiveness, and compliance of HSO’s compensation, benefits, payroll, and total rewards programs. This role ensures alignment with business goals and organizational growth. You will conduct market benchmarking, internal equity analyses, and compensation modeling to inform pay structures, incentive programs, and benefits offerings that support retention and performance. You will lead annual compensation review cycles and Variable Compensation Plan (VCP) administration, providing compensation insights and recommendations to leadership. Additionally, you will direct the strategy and administration of HSO’s self-funded health plans, including vendor and carrier relationships, contract negotiations, renewals, and open enrollment planning. A key responsibility is to monitor and interpret evolving regulatory requirements, including pay transparency laws, ERISA, ACA, FMLA, and related employment regulations, translating these into effective policies and processes. You will also lead pay equity assessments and FLSA classification reviews to support compliance, consistency, and fair employment practices. This role oversees end-to-end payroll operations for a 400+ employee remote workforce, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will manage benefits administration activities including enrollments, status changes, terminations, carrier updates, ACA reporting, 401(k) audit documentation, and expense reimbursement reconciliation. You will serve as a trusted resource for employee payroll and benefits inquiries, delivering responsive support and a positive employee experience. Finally, you will build and scale HSO’s total rewards function by defining, hiring, and onboarding a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator, then transitioning operational responsibilities while retaining strategic leadership and oversight.
