About The Position

OrthoVirginia, the premier orthopedic/musculoskeletal practice in Virginia, has opportunities for fellowship-trained, board-certified/board-eligible orthopedic Total Joint Surgeons to join our practice in Lynchburg, VA. OrthoVirginia is the premier orthopedic practice in the state of Virginia. We have specialists in physiatry, general orthopedics, joint replacement, spine surgery, sports medicine, hand and foot & ankle surgery, rheumatology, sports medicine-trained primary care physicians, and physical and occupational therapy. We also have MRI, injection suites, after-hours clinics, surgery centers, and expanded therapy services. The successful candidate will work alongside specialists in general orthopedics, joint replacement, sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma. Our practice offers a direct pathway to becoming a shareholding physician and the potential for participation in ancillary revenues such as imaging and physical therapy. This is a private practice/partnership track opportunity. As such, candidates should be prepared to participate in general orthopedic call.

Requirements

• Fellowship-trained in Total Joint Surgery
• Board Certified/Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Trained to care for general orthopedic conditions
• MD or DO degree
• Active/eligibility for Virginia state licensure

Responsibilities

• Total hip replacement
• Total knee replacement
• Partial knee replacement
• Hip resurfacing
• Revision joint surgery
• Minimally invasive joint replacement
• Robotic-assisted joint replacement
• Joint preservation procedures
• Management of periprosthetic fractures
• Treatment of joint infections
• Participate in general orthopedic call
