Torque monitor position is responsible for control of monitoring, measuring and documenting manufacturing torque tools, to ensure that equipment is suitable for its intended purpose and is capable of producing valid results. Provide Manufacturing Engineering guidance and support to ensure that the resultant fastener assembly processes, torque tooling and equipment will improve throughput, scrap/rework reduction, reduce cost, and improve quality and reliability. Work with PC&L team to optimize fastener material flow to production line. Maintain / update Master Torque Matrix. Perform Static Torque Monitoring to monitor assembly process and facilitate containment activities. Maintain torque database up to date. Maintain equipment records by filing documents; updating equipment database. Act as a liaison and coordinate with Plant team members to make sure that lessons learned from other plants, best practices, and plant goals are driven into the production process. Maintains team’s workplace documents to the current standards available. Responsible for 5S for their areas. Any additions to the list will be mutually discussed and agreed to between the parties. Able to Perform static pulls 227 per shift. Ability to learn quality alerts, corrective action meetings and reporting tool exchange, etc. Maintains a safe working environment including following up on safety issues until they are resolved. Promote health and safety in all phases of engineering and launch. All other duties as assigned.
